I would recommend using a push notification to all teachers and staff when a drill like this is taking place.

I have unfortunately been involved in one real active-shooter situation with a loss of life, as well as many emergency drills, and I have found that push notifications are a very simple and effective way to communicate during these situations.

Today, because I had no advance notice, I did not know exactly what was happening, when the drill had started, or when the all-clear was given. Even if the notification is in Thai and I need to translate it, having a message would still be very helpful.

I actually still receive emergency drill notifications for fire, active-shooter, and other situations from the school where I previously worked in Boston. They use WhatsApp, so I think LINE could work well here too if a regular text-message system is difficult to implement.

I hope this suggestion might be helpful for future drills.
